Feeding Derbyshire

Citizens Advice Mid Mercia work alongside CVS food bank in South Derbyshire. We can provide holistic advice to the residents of South Derbyshire and we can make a referral to CVS for you to collect an emergency food parcel.

Feeding Derbyshire is part of a project by CPAG called the Pathways out of Poverty. Derbyshire is one of four pilot areas, the others being Bradford, Bristol and Leicester. The project aims to address the deficit in accessible emergency advice available to people in food crisis, particularly among vulnerable groups who face barriers to accessing mainstream advice services.

We hope the project will allow people to address the underlying issues that made them vulnerable to hunger or food insecurity, and to receive support from advice workers to report their issue resolved by the end of the project.

Helping people access emergency advice through community food projects, funded by the National Lottery.

South Derbyshire Residents only.
